Welcome to Kabondo!

Kabondo Poverty Alleviation Organization (KPAO) is a registered community based organization (CBO) formed to help address the challenges of poverty and ill health in Rachuonyo district, Nyanza Province of Western Kenya. The organization came into being through the efforts of the founding Director Mr. Eric Ochanji who lives in this region and wishes to address the problems of disparities in income, poor education, poor health care access, HIV/AIDS, agriculture and the general quality of life.

We work with communities to help address access to education particularly for orphaned and vulnerable children, initiate viable income generating activities to help pull households out of poverty, agricultural training and support to help attain basic food security at household level, HIV prevention amongst the youth community and Home Based care for people (especially children) living with HIV.
